In recent years, occupational health hazards have grown as one of the major public health issues worldwide. The present study was aimed to assess the level of cardiac enzymes among petroleum filling station attendants in Owerri. The study subjects consisted of twenty individuals working as petrol station attendants in Owerri, Imo State for three years and twenty apparently healthy males and females who are not occupationally exposed. Blood samples were collected aseptically by venopuncture, using a 5ml sterile disposable syringe and needle from petrol station attendants and Controls was disposed into a labeled plain dry specimen container. All reagents were commercially purchased and the manufacturer’s standard operational procedures were strictly followed. All data obtained in the study were analyzed using the independent student t-test (SPSS.20). The level of significance was set at P=0.05. The mean value of Creatine kinase-MB (CK-MB) was significantly increased in petrol attendants (2.35±0.50)ng/ml when compared to controls (1.17±0.66)ng/ml. The mean value of Lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) was significantly increased in petrol attendants (310.74±20.69)IU/L when compared to controls (282.95±13.76)IU/L. The mean value of Aspartate transaminase(AST) was significantly increased in petrol attendants (22.16±4.39)IU/L when compared to controls (11.05±2.61)IU/L. There was a non-significant positive correlation (r=0.06, p=0.808; r=0.13, p=0.574) between Creatine kinase-MB with Lactate dehydrogenase and Aspartate transaminase in petrol attendants. In conclusion it was observed that the petrol pump attendants are at greater risk of developing biochemical alterations in the cardiac enzymes with time due to the significant increase in the level of Aspartate transaminase, Creatine kinase-MB and Lactate dehydrogenase.

Fire is a visible effect of the process of combustion as a special type of chemical reaction which occurs when oxygen in the atmosphere reacts with some sort of fuel to bring out flame. This review research extensively detailed the causes, preventive and protective measure to be taken to curb fire outbreak in the society. This showed that the best way to avoid fire outbreak is by adopting preventive and protective measure which includes avoidance of using phone in the kitchen, fueling generator when it is ON, smoking in flammable prone zone, gas leakage and so on. This paper will guide home users and fire preventive software designers to be aware of the things to be incurred or put in consideration when managing/designing/ implementing a device that can prevent or control fire outbreak. This research review will be of important to the world as it serves as a guide on fire outbreak causes and simple ways to prevent it both manually and automatically.

The design and implementation of a fire prevention and control system using ATmega328P was successfully designed and implemented to curb the frequent fire outbreak in Africa. The system was designed to trigger alarm ON whenever gas leakage or smoke is detected and as well triggers ON fire extinguishing fan ON to suck the gas away from the premise. The Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) as well indicates the system performance measure of the premises at any point in time. The Arduino UNO is used as the main controller of the system and the buzzer for notification when there is danger. The system will detect the leakage using a gas sensor MQ-5 and use the buzzer for alarm to alert the public/authorities that there is danger in the premises. The system uses two indicator LED Lights; the Green LED light indicates that there was no gas leakage detected in the premises whereas the Red LED light indicate that there was gas leakage detected and needs immediate intervention. This designed and implemented device has 15% performance efficiency compared to the existing ones and will be of a very good help to African countries as it has the ability to prevent fire outbreak in promises.

Surgical site infections are worldwide problems in the field of surgery contributing to increased mortality and morbidity. However, despite advances in the control of surgical site infections, the risk of acquiring these infections had not fully been eliminated due to the emergence and spread of resistant bacteria pathogens. The aim of this study was to isolate and identify bacteria from surgical wounds patient.

Urinary tract infections are regarded as one of the most infection diseases caused by bacteria, especially in females, as it’s estimated that 50% of all women get at list a urinary tract infection during their life time. In community settings, urinary tract infections mainly affect women that are active sexually, whereas among the middle hospitable, they are the people of old age and the carriers, who are mostly affected. Allium sativum has for many years been known and used as one of the best active herbal plants for management of various illnesses caused by bacteria. Garlic exhibits broad spectrum antimicrobial activity against both Gram positive and Gram-negative bacteria. The inhibitory effect of fresh garlic extract against gram negative multidrug resistant bacteria was the same as compared to the inhibitory effects attained from the drug-susceptible strains of Escherichia. Coli.

Brucellosis is a zoonotic disease mainly acquired through consumption of infected animal products such as milk and meat. It is one of the leading zoonotic diseases and is a serious public health concern in endemic areas.Specifically, the review aimed at updating the burden of brucellosis in Uganda.Different research engines were utilised in writing this paper such as web of science, Pubmed Central, Scopus, Medline, Google Scholar, Researchgate, Academia Edu, etc.Prevalence of Brucellosis is low in Uganda. Being a Butcher, Milking, drinking raw milk are highly associated with brucellosis. The commonly used antimicrobials to manage Brucellosis are highly active against brucella except rifampicin. Brucella infection should be among the plan for treatment of febrile illness alongside malaria and Typhoid. Support is needed to allow more analysis on isolates such as sequencing and phylogeny analysis to learn more on the management of Brucella Epidemiology and ecology in this region.

The paper explores the impact of economic turbulence on private schools in Nigeria, focusing on the challenges they face and their implications for the quality of education. Nigeria\'s education system is increasingly privatized due to government policies encouraging private investments. Private enterprises, including individuals, business conglomerates, faith-based organizations, and transnational corporations, seek to attract parents dissatisfied with the government\'s focus on education. Public educational institutions face challenges such as population increase, lack of public investment in infrastructure, and highly competitive admission. The research uses a mixed-methods approach, including quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews with parents, teachers, and administrators. Economic factors affecting private schools in Nigeria include inflation with a relative impact index (RII) of 4.08, demographic shifts of 4.06 RII, economic downturns of 3.91 RII, technological disruptions of 3.85 (RII), competition (3.69), and policy changes (3.67). The major impact of economic disturbance is increased operational cost with 20% while both financial instability and an increase in the number of out-of-school children ranked 2nd with 15% each. The paper recommends collaboration between private school operators and the government to improve the private school system, promoting education for all. Diversifying revenue sources and implementing remote learning technology can enhance education quality.

Background of the study: Phytochemicals and Phytohormones available in coconut water had expressed some remarkable anti-aging, anticancer and anticoagualant effects that contributed to the various health benefits. However, the species and maturation of such coconut water has limited information. Therefore, the aim of this study wasto ascertain the species of coconut, their specific phytochemical and phytohormones responsible for the health benefit.
Materials and Method: Fresh coconuts of different maturation stage: immature (120-200 days), mature (220-300 days) and over mature (320-380 days) both local and Hybridized were harvested in the coconut farm inOpume, OgbiaLocal Government of Bayelsa State. The following names were identified as the species of the coconut: the local and hybridized immature coconut as Malayan green dwarf, the local mature coconut as Fiji dwarf and hybridized mature and overmature coconut as macapuno and the local over mature coconut as local tall coconut.Phytochemical analysis ofdifferent maturation and type of coconut water were determined by different standard methods while phytohormones were analysed using high performance liquid chromatography UV detector (HPLC).
Results:Malayan green dwarf hybridized immature coconut was found to have highest mean content of phytochemical(74.42 ±132.75) and phytohormones(87.24 ±84.25).
Conclusion: Malayan green dwarf hybridized immature (HI) coconut waterphytochemical and phytohormoneshas been identified as potentcocconut water with great benefits more than other species and maturation stage.
